Estimate how your individual ratings combine. Choose percentages already assigned by VA; do not enter your combined rating as another disability. No sign-in required.

Your selected percentages stay in this page and are not sent to AIVA or saved by this calculator. [Site privacy and cookies](https://aivaclaims.com/privacy).

## How the calculation works

Ratings are combined from highest to lowest using the whole-number results in the VA table. The final value rounds to the nearest 10%, with 5 rounding up. Example: 50% and 30% combine to 65%; adding 10% gives 69%, which rounds to 70%.

For eligible paired limbs, the calculator combines their ratings first, adds 10% of that value, and rounds the group to a whole number before combining it with other ratings. It also checks exclusions from the bilateral group and keeps a higher final rating when the exception applies.

[38 CFR 4.25: combined ratings table](https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-38/chapter-I/part-4/subpart-A/section-4.25) · [38 CFR 4.26: bilateral factor and exception](https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-38/chapter-I/part-4/subpart-A/section-4.26)

This estimates combined-rating math only. It does not decide service connection, bilateral eligibility, TDIU, special monthly compensation, amputation limits, or payment amounts. Paired skeletal muscle cases and conditions with a single bilateral diagnostic-code rating need individual review; do not split one assigned rating into two entries. For an uncertain limb classification, confirm with an [accredited representative](https://www.va.gov/get-help-from-accredited-representative/). VA determines your actual award.
